Cocktail being prepared as the sun sets over Ksamil

Sunset dinner

Dinner with the Ionian sun
going down behind the islands.

The Ksamil sunset is one of the best on the Albanian Riviera, and Afrimi's terrace faces it directly. Book a table around 19:30 in summer and you'll watch the sun drop behind the islands while the first plates land on the table. It's the dinner most of our guests still talk about months later.

When the sun goes down in Ksamil

Sunset times in Ksamil shift through the season. Roughly: 20:30 in June and July, 20:00 in August, 19:15 in September, 18:30 in October. Aim to be seated 45–60 minutes before — that way you get the golden hour, the sunset itself and the long blue dusk that follows it without rushing.

For July and August, that means a 19:30 booking. For shoulder season, an 18:30 booking is the sweet spot.

What to order at sunset

Start with a cocktail. The Afrimi Sunset (gin, basil, lemon, prosecco) is the obvious choice and it really does taste like a Ksamil evening. The Negroni is well-balanced and the Aperol Spritz is a classic for a reason.

For food, share a few small plates while the sun's still up — grilled octopus, burrata with tomatoes, fried calamari — then move into a main as the light goes down. The seafood linguine and the salt-crust fish are both made for this kind of evening.

Sunset table reservations

Sunset tables are the single most-requested booking we get from May to September. They go fast — sometimes 3–5 days ahead in peak season. The system is simple: message us on WhatsApp at +355 69 655 5323, tell us the date, the number of guests, and that you want a sunset table on the terrace.
